Have Questions? We Have Answers!

We know that coming to a new church for the first time can often be intimidating and that you may have questions. We would love to help to make your visit an enjoyable experience of God's love, grace, and mercy, for you and your family.

Common Questions

What time does our worship service start?
Sunday 10:00 am, in the Methodist Memorial Hall.

Where is the Methodist Memorial Hall?
The Methodist Memorial Hall is located in Los Banos at 1035 Iowa Avenue (the corner of Iowa Avenue and "J" Street). Look for the Saint Alban's Banner (or

the 'Manna Ministries' sign) on Sunday mornings.

Can I bring my kids?
Of course! We love kids at Saint Alban's. We encourage families to attend worship together from the earliest ages. Kids learn to worship by watching, listening, and doing. Cries, giggles, and dropped books are all expected.

What are the services like?
The Sunday morning service is typically 60-90 minutes. It is a beautifully designed combination of music, Bible-based teaching, prayers, culminating in the Eucharist (Holy Communion, where believers give thanks for God's saving work for his creation and are strengthened in their faith by receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in bread and wine shared together).

How does the music sound?  What kind of music do you play?
Our music is a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. Our aim is to please God through our musical offerings and help people enter into the presence of God.

What should I wear?
Most of us wear casual clothes at our services, although some of us dress up. We'd like to think you will be as comfortable in a T-shirt and jeans as you would be in a business suit or dress.

Is there someone that can help get me situated when I come to visit?
Absolutely! We know that coming to a new church for the first time can be intimidating. When you come for your visit, someone will greet you and help get you and your family settle in. We will do everything we can to make sure you have the best experience possible.
